A.
Cu
Shiny, Orange, Elastic
When put under flame, the flame turns green, and is considerably bigger. The copper has a glow and falls off after 5-10 seconds.
A.
Mg
Metal, Silver(color), not very shiny, somewhat flexible.
Burns very bright, its gives off a huge white light, which means it has extreme heat. After reaction it turns into a white soot.

B.
CuC03
Fine green powder
When applied heat, it turns into a black soot since it decomposed. It checked positive for C02.
C.
Zn+HCl
Hydrochloric acid is a very clear liquid, looks like water.
Zinc is looks grey, and feels rough.
When you combine Zn+HCl it bubbles, and you can see smoke out of the top. Test positive for Hydrogen. Solution left was like a white cloud.
C.
Zn+CuSO4
Zinc is the same. Copper (II) Sulfate looks like water but tinted blue.
The zinc first turns blue, and seemed to dissolve slowly. After a few minutes the old “zinc” turns fully black.
D.
Pb(No3)2 + KI
The lead Nitrate is a clear Liquid.
KI solution is also a clear liquid. They both had the same viscosity, which seemed like water.
When both put together the solution turns yellow. The yellow seems to come from little yellow crystals that are all around the solution. There seems to be some “powder” solution on the bottom.

II. Lab Review
A.    
To test for Carbon Dioxide in this lab, you light a wooden stick on fire, and put it in the test tube. If Carbon Dioxide were present, the flame would go out, and if not present, the flame wouldn’t go out. The carbon in the reaction combines with all of the oxygen in the test tube, which leaves none for the fire. Carbon Dioxide is also heavier then air so it stays in the test tube. These are both properties of Carbon Dioxide that allows flames to go out.
B.     To test for the presence of Hydrogen Gas you put a wooden stick on fire, and put it in the test tube. If you hear a popping sound you known that Hydrogen Gas is present since it combusted.  An equation to represent the reaction could be the following:
2H2 + O2 = 2H2O

A.     2AgNO3 + Cu = Cu(NO3)2 +2Ag
